How it works
The science, simply
Ultherapy delivers micro-focused ultrasound to precise depths under the skin, including the SMAS layer about 4.5 mm down. Small heat points cause the tissue to contract and trigger new collagen over the following weeks.
Because the device images the skin while it treats, the doctor can place energy at the right depth for each area. The number of shots depends on how much lifting you need and how large the area is, which is why we confirm the plan at consultation.
Your visit, step by step
Consultation
A doctor checks how much laxity you have and agrees the areas and shot count with you.
Numbing
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied. Ultherapy can feel hot and sharp over bony areas.
Treatment
The handpiece is moved line by line across each area.
After
Mild redness, swelling or tenderness can last a few days. You can wear makeup the next day.

Ultherapy FAQ
How long do Ultherapy results last?
Most people see the full effect at 2–3 months, and it usually lasts around a year. Many patients repeat it once a year.
Does Ultherapy hurt?
It can feel hot and prickly, especially over the jawbone. We use numbing cream and adjust the energy if you need us to.
Can I fly home after Ultherapy?
Yes. There is no wound, so flying the same or next day is fine.
Ultherapy or Thermage FLX?
Ultherapy works deeper and is better for lifting sagging tissue. Thermage FLX works in the dermis and is better for tightening and skin quality. Some patients combine both.
